The admission procedure in Guru Nanak Institute of Management combines centralized counseling and institute level admissions. Guru Nanak Institute of Management offers 75% of the total seat for the MBA course through Online Centralized Counseling organized by Haryana State Counseling Society, Panchkula. Admission is done based on the score of a candidate in the Management Aptitude Test. The institute fills up the remaining 25% of seats and other vacant seats left by the centralised counseling based on the candidate's MAT score or marks obtained in the qualifying examination. In the same way, for the BBA course, the admission shall also be on the same lines, and entrance examination scores or marks in the qualifying examination may be taken into consideration by the institute for 25% admissions.

MBA (Master of Business Administration): The programme has an intake of 90 seats, and there is an equally thorough procedure of selection. In the context of the BBA programme, 75% of the seats are allocated by the online centralised counselling conducted by the Haryana State Counselling Society based on MAT scores.
The Institute itself fills the remaining 25% of seats and any vacancies against either MAT scores or on the basis of the candidate's performance in his or her qualifying examination. This two-year programme is designed to develop future managers to operate in the most dynamic and exciting business environment.
