Guru Ram Dass B.Ed. College, Jalalabad, was established in year 2005 and is situated in hak Room Wala Village, Punjab. This co-educational institute is included as an affiliated college which is approved by the National council for teacher education (NCTE) and accredited by the National assessment and accreditation council (NAAC). Located on 6-acre land, the college provides three specific programmes in education for an overall enrolment of 519 students. The faculty strength of the institute is 25 and therefore the institute aims to maintain an appropriate student-faculty ratio.

Guru Ram Dass B.Ed. College has various facilities which are modern in their ability to aid the college’s academic activities. The internet connection for few sections is partially automated and the library has  good books, reference texts, e-books and e-journals for students and faculty members. These facilities include a psychological resource room, science and mathematics resource room, and an educational technology (Computer) laboratory. In the field of education Guru Ram Dass B.Ed. College offer a total of three full time courses in B.Ed., D.El.Ed and M.Ed. The college has got an overall intake capacity of 250 students sanctioned for both B.Ed. and M.Ed. programme, out of which 200 students are admitted to B.Ed. and rest 50 to M.Ed. Each course offered here takes two years of study in order to equip prospective teachers with adequate training.

The admission in Guru Ram Dass B.Ed. College is through marks secured in the entrance examination along with the marks scored in the qualification examination. The admission to the B.Ed. programme is done as per the policy decide by the state government/UT administration in consultation with the affiliated university.
