Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) is a four-year full-time program that is the undergraduate level in pharmacy education course offered by Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

A Bachelor of Pharmacy (abbreviated B Pharm) is an undergraduate four year academic degree in the field of pharmacy. The degree is the basic prerequisite for registration to practice as a pharmacist in any country and it deals with understanding the properties and impacts of medicines and drug delivery systems, also developing the skills required to counsel patients about safe and efficacious use of the medicines. Pharmacy is the science and technique of preparing and dispensing drugs. It is a health profession that links health sciences with chemical sciences and aims to ensure the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs. The scope of pharmacy practice includes more traditional roles such as compounding and dispensing medications, and it also includes more modern services related to health care, including clinical services, reviewing medications for safety and efficacy, and providing drug information. Pharmacists, therefore, are the experts on drug therapy and are the primary health professionals who optimize use of medication for the benefit of the patients. This course covers health related subjects like biochemical science, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Bio chemistry, Pharmaceutical Math’s & Biostatistics, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination from recognized Board/university or any examination recognized as equivalent thereto by Pt. B. D. Sharma, University of Health Sciences, Rohtak with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together and must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry. Biology/Math and English individually in qualifying examinations.

For the candidate belonging to Schedule Caste/Scheduled Tribes and Other Backwards Classes (OBCs), the marks obtained shall be at least 40%.
