Hannamma Christian College of Education, Proddatur, was started in 1986 as an affiliated college in Y.M.R. Colony, Proddattur, Andhra Pradesh. This co-educational institution is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi, and has a good record of standing with high standards in teacher education. This college offers two main professional courses aimed at building up future teachers: B.Ed and D.El.Ed. The institution has a faculty strength of 9, committed to the task of grooming the future generation of teachers. 

Hannamma Christian College of Education works towards an effective learning environment. The library is well-stocked with 3,170 books and 16 technical/professional journals, with a seating capacity of 50 students. The campus has indoor and outdoor facilities for sports and physical activities for interested students. It has indoor games such as basketball and badminton, while the outdoor sports include kabaddi, kho-kho, and cricket. Hannamma Christian College of Education runs two full-time courses each for two years. The sanctioned enrolments of the B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. courses are 100 students each, adding to a total of 200 seats for both programmes. These courses focus on training students to meet the challenge in the field of education.
