One of the youngest institutions in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, the Haridwar Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre imparts the study and practice of Ayurvedic Medicine. This co-educational college was established in the year 2015 and has, within such a short period, emerged as a prominent institution in the field of Ayurvedic education. This institute is recognised by CCIM; thus, its curriculum is maintained according to national standards. The institution has a very conducive atmosphere for learning with its student-to-teacher ratio, along with a total enrolment of 196 students and a faculty strength of 40.
Haridwar Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre (HAMRC), established in 2015, is a government Ayurvedic medical college in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The college is recognised by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) and affiliated with Uttarakhand Ayurved University, Dehradun. Haridwar Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre has a multitude of infrastructural amenities to back up its educational undertakings. Its IT infrastructure includes a computerised pathology laboratory equipped for biochemistry and haematology studies, testifying to the institute's adherence to traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with the most recent methods of modern medicine. The labs in this institution are well-equipped for Ayurvedic treatment of Acute and Chronic diseases, mainly Kaya Chikitsa or internal medicine, Panchakarma or detoxification therapies, Yoga, and Physiotherapy. For all-round development among the students, there are sports facilities, a gymnasium, and an auditorium for cultural and academic events on the campus. It has a library, a treasure of Ayurvedic literature and research materials. Further, the institute has a health centre on campus that provides first aid and medical facilities to its students.
Currently, Haridwar Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre is offering only one major course, BAMS or Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. It is a full-time six-year course that will orient students with all the principles and practices of Ayurveda. The institute offers just one degree programme to ensure that the student has an in-depth knowledge base and practical experience in the various specialisations within Ayurveda.

The process of admission at Haridwar Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre selects the most promising students for the BAMS course. Fifty per cent of the seats are filled by the Uttarakhand Ayush Pre-Medical Test, which is a state-level test conducted by UAPMT. In their turn, fifty per cent of the admissions are made through the Central Preference Medical Entrance Examination through CPMEE.
