24 MonthsPost Basic B.Sc Nursing (PB.B.Sc) is a full-time two-year undergraduate degree course offered by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
The course is meant for candidates who already possess a background in Nursing or a related field. Those seeking admission for the course should have passed GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) with a minimum experience of 2 years.

Eligibility Criteria
- Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose.
- Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986 will be eligible for admission.
- Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.
- A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course, besides being registered as a nurse with the State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by the Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas:
- O.T. Techniques.
- Ophthalmic Nursing.
- Leprosy Nursing.
- TB Nursing.
- Psychiatric Nursing.
- Neurological and Neurosurgical Nursing.
- Community Health Nursing.
- Cancer Nursing.
- Orthopedic Nursing.
- Candidates must be medically fit.
- Students shall be admitted once a year.
Admission Details
- Minimum and maximum ages for admission will be 17 and 35 years, respectively.
- For ANM/LHV, there is no age bar.
- Should have 10+2 class passed or equivalent.
- Those who have cleared the 10+2 vocational ANM course (revised after 2001) from a school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
- Those who have completed the ANM training, i.e., 10+1.5 years training, should also have passed +2 or its equivalent examination.
- Admission of students shall be once a year.
- Students should be medically fit.
- In addition to the above, the admission procedure can be laid down by the concerned State Nursing Council/Nursing Examination Boards (S.I.B.E, M.I.E.B., C.M.A.I)
