Hem Chandra Dev Goswami College was established in 1965 and is one of the premier institutions of higher learning in Assam, India. The college is situated in the historic town of Sivasagar and is a co-educational institution with 4.37 acres of land with rich vegetation. The academic programmes of the college are duly recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The college offers a wider choice of undergraduate programmes with a major emphasis on the arts faculty. With a current enrolment of 217 students, the college has been maintaining an ideal learning environment with 22 faculty members in its campus.
