B.Sc Animation, VFX and Gaming at Himalayan School of Science and Technology, Dehradun Offline Course

The B.Sc. Animation ,VFX & Gaming is a 3-year undergraduate course (6 semesters) aimed at preparing students for the current and future needs of the Animation, VFX & Gaming industry. The course has been created to represent the different processes that exist within virtual environments as they relate to Workflow Creation, Production Pipelines, and Skills Requirements as used by many of today's top 3D Animation/VFX studios and Digital Media Companies.

The curriculum focuses on providing a wide variety of skills associated with job-related competencies including 2D & 3D Animation, VFX Compositing, Game Asset Creation, Real Time Rendering, Rigging, Environment Creation, Motion Graphics and Interactive Media Development. Students will become proficient with the use of industry standard software and game engines and will learn how to work practically and professionally within the AV/3D Animation/VFX environment. The program takes a project-based and portfolio-focused approach.

Through hands-on training projects in real-world settings such as studio projects, case studies, and internships, students develop knowledge of the industry's production process, as well as effective collaboration and quality standards. In this way, equal focus is placed on developing student creative thinking ability, storytelling ability, problem-solving ability, understanding user interface/user experience design concepts, and keeping up with emerging technologies which are currently influencing animation and game design.
