Hindu College of Education, Sonepat was established in the year 1968 and is one of the prestigious educational institutions located in Haryana, India. This co-educational college affiliated to the state university system has been creating the future for the new generation of aspiring educators since more than five decades. Available on a compact area of 1.02 acres.  In all, the student enrolment in all the courses is 443, having a very favorable student-to-faculty ratio, supported by a team of 13 dedicated faculty members. 

The institution has several facilities provided to students to help them learn. One of the knowledge hubs of the college is its library, well-stacked with books, periodicals, and journals pertaining to their field of study and also covering general topics. The laboratories in Science, Computer Studies, Psychology, and Language Learning are fully equipped and functional. Hindu College of Education has a well-defined portfolio comprising three full-time courses in the field of education, which cater to different levels of teacher training. The B.Ed. Programme with an intake of 200 seats is the mainstream programme the institute offers. It also offers a Master of Education with 50 seats for those who wish to pursue advanced studies. The college also offers a course in Diploma in Elementary Education with 50 seats, which targets producing teachers for primary education.

College Infrastructure

Hindu college of education in sonepat has a decent infrastructure. The classrooms are well maintained and spacious. providing a good learning environment. The library is stocked with a variety of books and study materials. The campus als has basic facilities like a computer lab and a small canteen. However, there is need for improvement in spoorts facilities and overall maintenance of the campus.

You can get direct admission for B.Ed course after class 12 in the Regional Institute of Education (RIE, formerly known as Regional College of Education). It is a constituent part of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi.
