Hindu College of Education, Sonepat, was established in the year 1968 and is one of the prestigious educational institutions located in Haryana, India. This co-educational college affiliated with the state university system has been creating the future for the new generation of aspiring educators for more than five decades. The B.Ed. programme with an intake of 200 seats is the mainstream programme the institute offers. It also offers a Master of Education with 50 seats for those who wish to pursue advanced studies. The college also offers a course in Diploma in Elementary Education with 50 seats, which targets producing teachers for primary education.                   

The admission process at Hindu College of Education is designed to be merit-based and transparent. Admission to the B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. courses is made on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or performance in the entrance examination conducted by respective authorities as per the state government or UT administration's policy at point. The admission to the programme of M.Ed. shall be made on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination and entrance test as per the policy prescribed by the State Government, Central Government, University, or the competent authority.
