About Hislop College, Nagpur
Hislop College, Nagpur, established in 1883, has rightly emerged to be one of the city's oldest affiliated colleges, with a history to be proud of of over 140 years. The college is centrally located in the heart of Nagpur, Maharashtra, and has accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The institute is spread over 7.4 acres of land, offering a variety of academic programs to a body of students totalling 4,272. The faculty strength of the institution is 78 committed educators.
Hislop College, Nagpur, is affiliated with Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), Nagpur, and is accredited by NAAC. The institution is very focused on giving the best facilities with regard to the shifting of settings for learning progression by the students. The college is equipped with well-equipped laboratories for hands-on practical sessions and a modern library. At present, it hosts more than 85,000 books and avails access to more than 97,000 e-books and above 6,000 e-journals through the N-LIST consortium, inculcating research and a culture of pursuit of knowledge. The College is ancient,and it's the only college in nagpur which was built before independence.The infrastructure is well built and matches the name.The facilities are improving as we are moving towards new era.

I am currently pursuing B.Sc. biotechnology in Hislop College, Nagpur. The infrastructure is good and meets the academic requirements. Our laboratories are functional and provide us with hands-on experience, especially for core subjects. While there is always scope for modernization, the existing facilities allow us to build strong practical understanding. Facilities like Library, e-library, computer lab, different building for biotechnology and having all the basic experimental set up there with their own library. The chemistry lab set-up is up to mark. They have a hostel for girls in the campus so it is safe and they provide decent food and accommodation. College is clean and washrooms are cleaned daily, contributing to a well maintained college.

Yes , my college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. My college laboratories have updated machines and equipment and a wifi area for students. The food in the canteen is very hygienic and the space is also very clean.
