Teacher Education, The Basaveshwar College of Education established in the year 1980 at Bidar is one of the prestigious and well known institutions of HKE Society. Affiliated to Bidar Central University this is a component collegiate in Karnataka that has been accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Being a small college with limited campus space of 0.0103 acres, the college provides a centralized learning atmosphere for it’s students. The institute currently has a total learner population of 96 learners with a faculty of 10 ensuring mutual respect of learners and teachers that makes for learner teacher friendly ratio. Currently, the college offers only one degree, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) showing its line of specialisation in teacher training.

Considering the academics, the HKE Society’s Basaveshwar College of Education is right now offering only one course that is its B.ED programme, and this programme is of two years full time course. The college has been approved to have an intake capacity of 50 students in this programme and therefore confirms that this programme has some stiff measures of standard admission.
