HKL College of Education – Ferozepur Punjab was established in 2006 and it is affiliated college. This private co-educational college is established in a 3 acre campus whose primary purpose is to prepare future teachers. Affiliated by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), HKL College of Education has offered two professional education programs. There are a total of 212 students admitted in the college out of which faculty strength in the college is about 13 which makes it a good student teacher ratio.

They include well-equipped libraries, lecture theaters, computer laboratories, laboratory centers, hostels, dining halls, clinics, prayer rooms, sports fields, gyms, and recreation areas. Though the library well equipped being the knowledge center of a modern university, well equipped practical laboratories compensate for practical learning. In terms of technology, this college has a good capital with an admirable information technology where students can improve their computer facilities and even have a computer laboratory complete with Internet for student use. Concerning the physical fitness well being and recreation, the campus provides a variety of sport and playgrounds such as cricket, basketball, volleyball, football and athletics. An auditorium is used to stage all manner of events and seminars to ensure active campus life. Regarding the student’s welfare, the college has adequate provisions which includes provision of first aid in a heath centre.

HKL College of Education currently offers two full-time courses: This teacher training is the Bachelors of Education (B.ED) and the Diploma of Elementary Education (D.EL.ED.). The B.Ed programme for which permission has been granted for admitting 100 students annually and the D.El.Ed programme for which permission has been given for admitting 50 students per session. Both have a duration of two years and give a broad education theory for practice and practical experience for theory. The college’s student population totals are equal to the students admitted per year or 212 students, and its programs are in high demand among future educators in the region.

The admission to Annex 1: HKL College of Education is strictly on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying exam. For the B.Ed programme, admission may also be determined by the policy set by the federation of self-finance colleges of education, Punjab or any other body formed for self financing body. Similarly the entrance procedure in D.El.Ed programme is also merit based with the certain condition for the entrance examination or any other selection process to be followed subject to the provision applicable by the state government or UT administration.
