About Indo German Tool Room, Indore
The Indo German tool room is a government institute located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the 4 tool rooms established by the Government of India with the assistance of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany. Also known as MSME Technology Centre, it was established in the year 1995 and is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal. The institute offers various short term, mid term and long term training courses. The long term diploma courses include Advanced Diploma in Tool and Die Making, Diploma in Mechatronics, in Computer Science, Diploma in Vocation(D.VOC)- Production Technology. The long term certificate courses include Machinist Trade, Fitter Trade, Turner Trade, Machine Grinder, Welding Trade, Automobile Assembly and Service.

The institute also offers a number of medium and short term courses the duration of which lies between 2 weeks to 18 months. The courses offered are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). Candidates can apply for admission provided they meet the eligibility criteria set by the institute. The admission process into the courses depends on the merit of the applicant in a written examination followed by a personal interview.
