Indus College of Engineering (ICE) was set up in the year of 2008 and is one of the premier engineering colleges in Coimbatore of Tamil Nadu Indian state. This co-educational institute is an affiliated college with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Located in Kalimangala, Alandurai Village, ICE has provided a favourable environment for learning. With the college offering programmes in engineering, the emphasis is on producing competent personnel to fit the active world of technology.

Since its establishment, ICE has been furnished with facilities to boost the learning capacity of the students tremendous. To accommodate the outstation students, there are self-contained hostels for the male and female students respectively. A rich collection of books is retrieved as an academic resource centre and modern information technology brings students up to date with advanced technological features. There is also provision for health in the college through instance of sports facilities. There is an accommodation for medical emergencies because there is a medical centre on the campus. There is a cafeteria where the students can relax, or engage in activities in the auditorium. The campus is connected with wireless facilities and thus have internet supported campus. In addition, ICE has facilities for transport of students coming from distant places and courses for commuting students. It also has an alumni relation department that makes sure that past students are well connected. The college is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela.

Cutting-across all the engineering disciplines, the college provides a complete course offering and these are all day, full-time courses. ICE at present offers seven courses in different branches of engineering. These are Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics engineering, Electronics and Communication engineering, Electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. For instance, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering courses have been approved to take in 90 students per year.

With regard to the entry mechanism, Indus College of Engineering has laid down academic criteria for its different courses. In general, engineering colleges consider the 10+2 academic result or its equivalent, particularly mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Certain institutes require scores from any national and state level engineering entrance examination also.
