Hi Kasturi Chatterjee,

Congratulations on your rank.3503 is such a good rank. But unfortunately, you can't get IHM Kolkata because its previous year cutoff rank for general category students is 2655. But you can get a seat in so many other top IHM's. Following are the central government IHM's along with 2018 cutoff for general category you can apply for your rank:

                                                   cutoff 2018(general)

Hi Muskan,

Congratulations on your rank. As you didn't mention your category it became quite difficult to answer. So next time make sure you provide all the details. Now coming to your question If you belong to SC/ST category then with 6800 rank you can get a seat in any central government IHM. If you belong to the OBC category except IHM Pusa and M Mumbai you can get all other IHM's. If you belong to a general category then following are the IHM's you can get along with their 2018 cutoff for general candidate:

          IHM                              2018 cutoff(open)

     Gurdaspur                              10502

     Guwahati                               10453

     Gwalipur                                8678

     Hajipur                                 13879

     Shimla                                   8715

     Shillong                                15050

     Srinagar                               29790

Feel free to ask your further queries.

All the best.

Thank you.

Hi Sarang,

I hope you are doing well. I am here to answer your query. To be honest,4609 is very less for OBC candidates to join in IHM Pusa. But there are pretty good chances for you to get a seat in IHM Mumbai. My answer is based on previous years cutoffs. Cutoffs for IHM Pusa and Mumbai  for OBC candidates are as follows:

                               2014         2015         2016          2017          2018

    IHM Pusa             2240         1781          2168          2874          3389

    IHM Mumbai        4430          4073          4430          6342          5620

So based on the above cutoffs 2017 and 2018 you have pretty good chances to get a seat in IHM Mumbai. But we can't assure it as cutoff varies from year to year.

Let us hope for the best.

Feel free to ask your further queries.

Thank you.

Hi Swati,

now coming to your question, looking at 2018 cutoffs on can predict 2019 cutoff.

In 2018 closing cutoff for OBC in roun1 was 10925, round2 16378, round3 18276.

hope this will help
