With a rank of 29796 in NCHM JEE, you won't get admission in IHMCN, Pusa. The cutoff are really high. This is for Open category and it may vary for different category. Plese check this link for more details.

As,your AIR rank of 6992(general),its tough to get in Central IHMs in 1st round, but you may get in 2nd round, can get a couple of Central IHMs in spot round and State IHMs in 2nd(and spot)round.Private IHMs is also an another option(to get Kovalam IHM).

To seek admission in hospitality program, you need to appear for the NCHM Joint Entrance Examination.

NCHM JEE Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have passed 10+2 system of senior secondary examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects. Passing English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination is mandatory.

I am going to give the inputs based on last year’s cut-offs

Last year’s closing rank for IHM Bangalore for B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration was 1423

For IHM Chennai in B.Sc. Programme in Hospitality and Hotel Administration and Hospitality and Hotel Administration (vegetarian) the cut-off was 3700 and 4792 respectively

For AIHM Chandigarh for a programme in Hospitality and Hotel Administration was 2302

So based on this data, you can get admission in IHM Chennai.

Apart from these, IHM Chennai you can get admission in IHM Bhopal, IHM Bhubaneshwar, IHM Gandhinagar, IHM Goa, IHM Gurdaspur, IHM Guwahati, IHM Gwalior, IHM Hyderabad, IHM Hajipur, IHM Jaipur, IHM Shimla, IHM Lucknow, IHM Shillong, IHM Srinagar, IHM Tiruvanthanapuram, CIHM – Chandigarh (State).

You can also get admission in the following private colleges as well

Desh Bhagat IHMCT (Punjab), Ranjita Institute of Hotel Management & Catering (Bhubneshwar), Chitkara School of Hospitality (Punjab), Institute of Hotel Management Shrishakti (Hyderabad), SRM Institute of Hotel Management (Kancheepuram).
