Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition Ranchi, which was established in the year 2019. The institute is independently established in Brambe, Ranchi, Jharkhand, for creating professionals for the hospitality industry in the future. The college is affiliated with Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi. Though IHM Ranchi is a relatively young institute, it has carved its niche in the field of study very soon. Actually, it has a small and specific number of students, 31 in total at the moment, backed by a team of 8 professors, with the further beneficial student/teacher ratio augmented to improve the educational process.

The Institute of Hotel Management Ranchi has installed modern amenities that lead to exposing the learners to the current education teaching methods. The institute also maintains a well-stocked library to ensure that the students discover a world full of hospitality literature and Research. It also provides skill development with modern state-of-the-art laboratory facilities to expose students to a professional training environment. The campus also has facilities for games so that the students can work and rest to ensure that they are healthy. 

An auditorium that is positioned on the site of BPP University provides a platform for different activities, such as events and seminars, as well as guest lectures, hence enhancing the learning of the students. The institute has to prove its concern with technology by showing the robust computerisation and the IT facilities available for students, making them aware of modern changes in the hospitality sector. This is especially occupying serious intellectual work; there is a cafeteria on campus where people can relax and socialise.

As far as its curricula are concerned, IHM Ranchi offers three courses. The programmes are Diploma in House Keeping, B.Sc Hospitality and Hotel Administration, and Diploma in Front Office courses. It is a full-time course and can be completed in a period of three years with the intention of giving the students a sound knowledge of the principles and practices forming the hospitality industry. The programme comprises areas of hotel management, catering technology and applied nutrition to equip students with the knowledge for several employment opportunities in the hospitality industry.
