IMRT, or the Institute of Management Research and Technology, Nashik, was established in the year 1986 as an affiliated college. Having a sprawling campus of 33 acres, IMRT offers manifold management programs to the budding business leaders. This institute has been awarded a quality tag by NAAC and is approved by AICTE. It is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University. With an overall enrolment of students at the level of 313 and a faculty strength of 13, IMRT can provide a focused learning environment.

The library is adequately supplied with a large collection of books, reference materials, and periodicals in various social sciences to meet student needs for research and study. This is supplemented by a suitable IT infrastructure with a computer laboratory for students and a local area network that makes available at their fingertips digital facilities and resources. Extracurricular facilities like sports facilities and an auditorium for events and seminars are also available for extracurricular activities. There is also a canteen on campus for the students and college staff.

The institute offers three types of full-time MBA programs, each of two years' duration. These include MBA, MBA Human Resource Development, and MBA in Information Technology. Each course has an approved intake of 60 students, bringing the total seat capacity to 180 for all the MBA programmes combined. This will make it easier for IMRT to concentrate on providing specialised education in some key areas of management and prepare the students for various roles in the corporate world.
