Jagdish Singh Mahavidyalaya, Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, is one of the newest institutions of higher education that was founded in 2016. This affiliated college is located in Dehari Rasra, Ballia district, and has a small area of 2.5 acres of campus. There is only one undergraduate program in the college, and the total student enrolment presently is 525. The existence and functioning of the school are highly centralised because it has a relatively small number of teachers; there are only seven of them in the institute. 

Jagdish Singh Mahavidyalaya is still in its developmental stage, its vision is to give quality education to students in the specified area. The college has the responsibility of ensuring that it offers basic facilities as a means of improving on the experience in colleges. It is used as a reference and information centre in order to promote learning through the provision of books and study materials for academic purposes. The institution also has a well-developed IT department that makes sure that students have the right technology for learning purposes. For those who are interested in physical activities, then the college has sporting amenities that enhance the student’s physical activity productivity, which is very noble in enhancing college education. But, based on the available health facilities with first aid services, there is adequate provision of health care, especially for students. 

Jagdish Singh Mahavidyalaya at present has only one regular course of study for the Bachelor of Arts (BA). Arts and humanities are the core subjects offered at this level, and by offering three years of courses, we ensure that students gain strong grounding in these subjects.
