Jai Maa Sharde College, Shikohabad, was founded in 2015 and is a co-educational college in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh. The college has a compact area of 2.5 acres, which provides the best learning climate for its students. The college is affiliated with DBRAU Agra. Graded by the NCTE at the moment, the institute now teaches three undergraduate programmes to meet the broad spectrum of student needs. The college offers only 26 seats to make the student enrolment limited and provide good education along with quality facilities and individual attention; hence, the college has a faculty of only 3.
There are several commitments intervening in the college’s programme of education, whereby the institution provides a number of amenities that address curricular and co-curricular activities. The library acts as a centre of knowledge in that it offers a range of resources to the student which complement the knowledge they get from the classroom. For several groups of people and events, Jai Maa Sharde College has an auditorium which is used for seminars, cultural activities and any other relevant events. Understanding the need for having physically fit students, the institution has put up exercise facilities so that learners can balance between their books and bodies. The college also boasts good IT training, which prepares the students to cope with the world going digital. In addition, during laboratory work in department-based laboratories, students can obtain practical experience as well as use theories acquired in practice.
JSC is offering three programmes in various fields of study. The college offers two programmes, a three-year Bachelor of Arts (BA) and another three-year Bachelor of Science (B.Sc). These programmes are intended for humanities lovers and for science lovers, correspondingly. In addition, the college also provides a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) programme which is also available here and is especially popular, with an approved intake capacity of 100. This area of emphasis on developing teachers of the society corresponds with the college NCTE approval to highlight its dedication towards the improvement of the education sector. These numbers for the total intake of students for all the courses offered by the college are 26, making the college appear constrained in its capacity, and this discrepancy with the D.El.Ed programme in particular indicates either the growth of the college or a shift in its programme offerings over time.
| Degree Name | Total Number of Seats | Eligibility Criteria |
| D.El.Ed | 100 | Completed Higher secondary (10+2) or equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% mark. |
The enrolment procedure practised at Jai Maa Sharde College differs according to the course level. While admission criteria for the D.El.Ed course comprehensively involve merit based on marks scored in the qualifying examination and/orthe entrance test. The college also follows any other selection process which is in accordance with the policy in the state government or UT administration. This approach makes it possible to give vulnerable candidates chances to continue with their education in that given institution.
