Janki College of Education, Raigarh Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a central library holding more than 3500 books. It is open from 11.00 A.M - 05.00 P.M. on all working days. To use the library facility: A valid Janki College of Education Identification Card is required to borrow materials from the library. All users of the library could check out 3 books at a time. The loan period for faculty and non-teaching staff is 7 days, for students, 5 days. Journals /Magazines are not for circulation. Books checked out during vacation or holiday periods are due the second day after the opening of the college. If a book is lost or missing, the borrower will be charged double the current cost or asked to replace the book. If, in the case replace the book is no longer available or is out of print, the librarian will determine the cost of replacement with another comparable book. A processing fine will also be collected. Theft, vandalism, and destruction of a library book and related materials are considered serious offenses and will be dealt with accordingly. If a student is found guilty of such an offense, a fine per damaged or stolen book will be collected, as well as the replacement of the book. The student will also be required to appear at the college Discipline Committee. The Library has a reprographic section to meet the requirements of students and staff. The college has sports, cultural, and co-curricular activities organized annually in the BEd college. The college provides full facilities for Indoor and Outdoor games. We also provide information about various inter-college and inter-university events. The college also has sports in charge of the smooth and successful conduct of sports activities.

The college has a well-equipped ac modern computer lab with the latest machines having software. The existing Computer Lab has several modern computers connected through LAN and has a provision for further expansion in the near future. The College has a leased line with high-speed broadband to provide round-the-clock Internet access to students to enable them to remain connected to the information superhighway. Each computer has a separate power backup. The Computer Lab is also equipped with an LCD Projector and Screen.

The College has an auditorium to host music, dance, cultural events, workshops, and seminars. It allows the JCEians to come to each other and feel like a family event.

The College has this service to provide hassle-free and safe transportation. We have a fleet of buses to help students and staff members commute to and fro from regions within a 35km radius around the institute. A nominal fee is collected for transportation on a yearly basis. Details of the routes and their respective timings are also available. Parents are urged to convince their wards to travel in the college buses only in view of safety issues on the highway. We also provide special pre-arranged transportation services for field trips and sporting events within the state.
