JSL&L is located in the district of Sonipat, in the state of Haryana, and is in the constituent colleges of O. P. Jindal Global University. The institution was founded with the vision to provide world-class education languages and literature. JSLL brings both conventional and contemporary approach toward language studies. There are 7 highly dedicated professionals to ensure personal attention and quality education to the students. 

The JSLL campus has most-modern facilities that complement the learning experience of its students. There are well-equipped Boys' and Girls' Hostels with comfortable accommodation provided according to international standards. The campus has excellent facilities for sports, while the interest of the sports persons is looked after by qualified coaches. A modern Gymnasium is divided into cardio, strength, and stretch areas. A huge cafeteria with all types of cuisines, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, fills the plate for all sorts of tastes. A 3500 sq. ft. on-campus Health Centre with separate male and female wards, consultation rooms, and physiotherapy facilities takes care of the health of the students. The library is a treasure trove for the knowledge seeker and is well-equipped with approximately 48,000 print volumes and a long list of e-resources. The curriculum at JSLL is dynamic, responsive to the emergent needs in the field of languages and literature. Presently, two major programs are on offer: BA (Hons) in English and Ph.D. in Languages and Literature. BA (Hons.) in English is a full-time three-year course. 

Admissions are pretty strenuous and multi-dimensional at JSLL, with selections of some of the best talents. The admission process to the BA Hons in English is a three-round, thrifty kind of process. This involves the personal statement of the candidate, their response to supplemental questions, academic performance at Level 10 and 12, faculty interview performance, and JSAT/ SAT/ ACT scores.
