The Jubilee Mission Medical College and Research Institute, which started in 2002 has been one of the leading medical colleges in the state of Kerala situated at Thrissur. This affiliated college that is on the NMC, has a plethora of medical programmes taught that cut across several specialisations. Situated on a vast area of 25.15 Acres, JMMCRI offers 599 total number of students and faculty members of 175. It was established as a medical and dental institute which aims to give an excellent and quality learning education for medical professionals.

It is a matter of delight for JMMCRI to provide best quality facilities to its academic programmes. The college also has a health centre where students access first aid when in need to enhance their health. Modern libraries act as information centers possessing a vast array of medical literature and other medium, forms and resources. Modern computing facilities-IT is well developed in the institute to support learning and research processes effectively. Furthermore, an auditorium on campus to accommodate different course occasions and seminars enhance effective academic culture.

In total, the institute provides 21 courses that opened within the four degrees of medical education for under and postgraduates. The official MBBS course annually has 100 students, and different postgraduate courses such as the MD and MS courses have limited intakes of 1 to 4 students. All the programmes offered at JMMCRI are full time, hence adequate concentration is achieved in producing competent medical professional. These specialties are General Medicine, Paediatrics, Anesthesiology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Cardiology, Neurology and many others meaning that students are afforded an adequate chance to follow specialisation of their choice in the medical profession.

Admission to most courses at JMMCRI is through an entrance test taken at the national level. For the MBBS programme there is direct admission by passing the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG). Their admittance to the MD and MS courses depends on the NEET PG examination results. These tests make sure that only equal and competent student are selected in the institutions as they compete for the best place from all over the country.
