Karpaga Vinayaga College of Nursing KVCN was started in 2010 in Kancheepuram of the Tamil Nadu state. Affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, DMI group of colleges has a co-educational college for imparting quality education in nursing. KVCN’s campus is a reasonably large one that resides on approximately 7.72 acres of land The institute offers 6 courses under two degrees and has a total of 194 students. Approval of the college is done by National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India (NAAC) while the Indian Nursing Council (INC) accredits the college. With a strength of 11 faculty members, KVCN offers quality education to nursing students regarding the advanced level of healthcare.

The institute offers both bachelor and master degree programmes and all 6 programmes are offered full time. At the undergraduate level KVCN has a four year B.Sc Nursing programme which admits 50 students in a single intake. For postgraduate studies, the college offers five specialised 2-year M.Sc Nursing programmes for which the college take five students for each programme. They include; Medical-surgical Nursing, Children’s Health Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing, Community Health Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing.
