Kashmir Tibbia College Hospital and Research Centre, Bandipora (KTCHRC), is an affiliated college which was set up in 1995. This institution is situated in Taleemabad Shilvath Sonawari, Tehsil Sumbal, Distt Bandipora, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, where this institution imparts education in Unani medicines. The college is recognised by CCIM, New Delhi, and the college offers a course in BUMS, Unani Medicine. Pictured on a 4.35-acre plot, KTCHRC has a total student headcount of 300 and a faculty of 31. The college aims at imparting standard education in the Unani system of medicine, an herbal system which has an amalgamation of ancient knowledge with the present-day conventional system of medicine.

Kashmir Tibbia College Hospital and Research Centre's infrastructure comprises numerous amenities that can be used in the student learning process and other necessary amenities. The college possesses more than 10,000 books and different types of journals, and the library is conducive to research and study. The institution also has an auditorium equipped with a 300 seating capacity for various academic and marking as well as cultural activities. For the benefit of students, the college owns and operates hostels for boys and girls; however, the number of students hosted is limited, based on availability of space on a first-come, first-served basis. It also has a canteen, facility for indoor and outdoor games, and transport which connects the campus to the city etc.
So far as its academic programmes are concerned, KTCHRC mainly serves the BUMS programme only. This is a full course programme and takes 6 years to complete, and the approved enrolment capacity is 60 students per year. The BUMS course in KTCHRC aims to offer a complete curriculum on the Unani system of medicines to make the students cater to the Unani medical system discipline.
The entrance into the BUMS programme at KTCHRC requires the candidate to take the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). This national-level undergraduate medical entrance test is conducted by the Central Board of School Education (CBSE). On the basis of NEET results declared for the state of Jammu & Kashmir, BOPEE (Board of Professional Entrance Examination) acts as the state counselling committee.
