    About Khalsa College of Nursing, Amritsar

    Khalsa College of Nursing was started in the year 2006, located at Amritsar is one of the most recognised college providing nursing education in Punjab, India. Sited on National Highway GT Road, this college affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University has been producing the future healthcare professionals for more than 11 years. The institute is located in a sprawling 5 acres and offer a comprehensive variety of nursing course which has been approved by the INC. The college offers education to 389 students in total with 15 faculty members of Khalsa College of Nursing facilitates a confined environment perfect for education and nursing practice.

    Khalsa College of Nursing has obtained several facilities to assist in positively carrying out its educational mandate. The campus has well endowed laboratory which are paramount in the practice of nursing exercises. The entire set up at present has seven fully furnished labs with all the articles and apparatus needed for demonstrating and practicing various nursing procedures as laid down by the Indian Nursing Council. Our college has a well facilitated library containing more than 3000 books and 21 numbers of National and International standard nursing journals. Water also provides Wi-Fi connection so that is was easy to access other digital information. Regarding the accommodation of students the college offer separate hostels for boys and girls within the college premises. These hostels include visitor rooms guest houses for wardens recreational halls and dining facilities.

    As a criterion of choice, Khalsa College offers ample number of nursing programmes to achieve different educational goals among the learners. At present, the institute offers 8 full time courses which are at certificate, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The total approved intake for all the courses is two hundred and ten. The college has 30, 40, 60 and 30 seats available in ANM, GNM, B.Sc and P.B.B.Sc Nursing respectively. At postgraduate level the college offers M.Sc courses in Medical Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing and Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing each having 5 seats.
