KLM College of Engineering for Women, Kadapa was established in 2008. It is one of the premier institutions exclusively meant for the empowerment of women through technical education. KLM College of Engineering for Women offers a range of courses that are comprehensive in terms of the various disciplines of engineering. The programs offered in the institute are 4 B.Tech Programs, 1 M.Tech program, 1 MBA program, and 4 Diploma courses. All programs are full-time and orient students toward practical, industry-relevant education. B.Tech programs are of 4 years, and the Diploma courses are of 3 years duration. All courses, taken together, have a total approved intake of 589 seats with the B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering having the highest intake of 120 seats. 

The admission process of KLM College of Engineering for Women is mainly based on merit and entrance examinations. In order to get admission to B. Tech, students shall qualify in the Engineering, Agricultural Sciences and Medical Common Entrance Test Conducted by the State of Andhra Pradesh, a state-level entrance test. Also, the college accepts other recognized exam scores about postgraduate courses: AP PGECET; for diploma programs, AP POLYCET; and, in respect of M.Tech., GATE. The institute has a very strict merit-based admission policy.
