About Kongu Arts and Science College, Nanjanapuram
Kongu Arts and Science College (KASC), was established in 1994, is one of the leading autonomous college at Nanjanapuram, Erode, Tamil Nadu. Being the part of Bharathiar university, KASC is accredited by the national assessment and accreditation council and recognised by the all India council for technical education. The college occupies a campus of 27 area and has a total student population of 4,814. KASC has expanded its programme of 48 courses in the first, second, and post graduate levels. Male students have been trained in the institute as follows while female students are 2,396. KASC is facilitated by 175 members teaching faculty and provides quality education in different fields such as Commerce, Management, Computer Science, Arts etc.
Kongu Arts and Science College boasts of adequate resource to complement the students’ academic needs and overall development. It functions as an information center with collections of more than 34,000 volumes of books, 195 journals, and other digital databases. Sophisticated computer laboratories and/or computer facilities with modern technological features give practical experiences to students. Facilities of sports grounds at KASC comprises of cricket, volley ball, basket ball and shuttle badminton grounds and Professional Gym. College also has its hostels for both boys and girls, designed with excellent living facilities and modem amenities. With added more features and facilities such as canteen, health centre, and an on-campus ATM for students’ convenience.
The programmes undertaken at KASC include the 3 years undergraduate, 2 years postgraduate and the research programmes. The college offers 48 courses across different fields which majority of them offer full time programmes. The mostly preferred MBA and MCA courses approved intake is 60 each. The institute also provides part time and research programmes to address the need of education in various regards.
Admission in KASC is merit based and is in line with the policies laid down by the Tamilnadu government /Admission is done through the on-line counselling as prescribed by the Tamilnadu government. In respect of admission to the MBA and MCA, the college accepts the scores of the TANCET examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu government.

Kongu Arts and Science College (KASC), is a path-breaking autonomous college in Nanjanapuram, Erode, Tamil Nadu. The institution provides ample number of undergraduate, postgraduate, and research courses in multiple disciplines. The admission process at KASC aims to identify merit-students and is as per the directions of the Tamil Nadu government.
The admission process is typically initiated in the months of May-June for the session of August-September. KASC enrolls students on the basis of several nation-wide entrance tests, according to the course. Undergraduate programs are commonly on the basis of marks secured in the entrance examination (10+2). In the case of MBA and MCA, scores of the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) are considered by the college.
Eligibility is program-specific. For undergraduate courses, the candidates must have 10+2 from a recognized board. Minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the eligibility examination is required for the majority of courses. Postgraduate candidates must have passed the bachelor's degree in the concerned subject, whose name should be known, from a recognized university with minimum 55-60% marks, or equivalent CGPA.

For Undergraduate Programs:

1. Download application form from KASC website.
2. Fill in the form with proper information and affix all necessary documents, such as bachelor's degree mark sheets and certificates.
3. Submit the filled-in application form along with the application fee.
4. Wait for the merit list or call for entrance test/interview (if applicable).
5. On selection, finalize the admission process by submitting necessary documents and paying the fees.
For Ph.D Programs:
1. See the Ph.D admission notice on the KASC website.
2. Download and complete the Ph.D application form.
3. Send the completed form along with research proposal and other documents as required.
4. Attend the entrance test and/or interview on the time scheduled by the college.
5. On selection, complete the admission formalities and commence the research work under a supervisor appointed.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.Com: KASC has different B.Com courses such as regular B.Com, B.Com Banking and Insurance, B.Com Computer Application, B.Com Corporate Secretaryship with Computer Application, and B.Com Professional Accounting. Admission is on the basis of marks in 10+2 in the relevant subjects.
BBA: The college has programs in BBA and BBA Computer Application. Eligibility depends upon 10+2 results with emphasis on commerce and business subjects.
B.Sc: KASC provides various B.Sc programs such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Costume Design and Fashion, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Physics, Psychology, and Computer Science and Data Analytics. Admission is on the basis of 10+2 science stream marks.
BA: BA English Literature and BA Tamil are the programs provided. Admission is on the basis of 10+2 marks with emphasis on language skills.
BCA: The students are taken into admission for the BCA course on marks obtained in 10+2, especially maths and computer science streams.
MBA: Students are admitted to the MBA course on TANCET marks. The sanctioned strength is 120 students.
MCA: Students are also admitted to the Master of Computer Applications course on TANCET marks. The sanctioned strength is 60 students.
M.Sc: Several M.Sc courses are available such as Mathematics, Costume Design and Fashion, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Biotechnology, and Physics. Admission is normally provided on the basis of marks in bachelor's degree.
MA: MA English Language and Literature is available in the college. Admission is provided on the basis of bachelor's degree marks in English or allied subjects.
M.Com: M.Com Computer Application is provided, and admission is offered based on marks in B.Com or equivalent degree.
MSW: Admission in Master of Social Work course is made based on marks in bachelor's degree in respective subjects.
Ph.D: Post-graduate courses in different fields like Commerce, Biochemistry, Management, Tamil, English, Computer Science, and Mathematics are available in KASC. The candidate is admitted on the basis of his/her performance in the entrance test and/or interview and master's degree.

Yes our college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. HD SMARTCLASS, high techniques power sewing machine, textile industry machines. Wifi, smart boards are all used and well maintained.
