Konkan Gyanpeeth Karjat College of Arts, Science, and Commerce was established in 1989. The college carries its activities over an area of 4.7 acres of campus and caters to the range of programmes in arts, science, and commerce. This institution is NAAC accredited, reflecting its commitment to quality education. The student strength of 1,358 is complemented by a faculty strength of 17 in the college.

Academic resources Centre The library has been integrated into the main body of the structure of academic resources since the founding of the college in 1989. Though in a rural and tribal location, it is in development, serving as a valuable resource for students. Along with the above-mentioned facility, sports facilities and a gym are also available in the college for the betterment of the students' physical health. For practical learning, the institution offers well-equipped laboratories to support the curriculum being offered academically. 

The IT infrastructure facility is excellent, and Wi-Fi is available throughout every campus to enable digital resources for the students at appropriate times. For taking a break or getting refreshed, there is also a cafeteria on the campus. First-aid facilities are also present within the health care centre inside the college premises for the well-being of the students. There is also a guest house for visiting faculty and students' family members, which helps to enhance the hospitality of the college.

Undergraduate courses comprise B.A., B.Com., B.Sc. and B.Sc. in Information Technology. Postgraduate programmes are offered in M.Sc. in Inorganic Chemistry and M.Com in Advanced Accountancy. There are also Ph.D. programmes available in Chemistry. The overall intake for all the courses that have been approved is 260 students.
