Koshal ANM and GNM Training School was established in the year of 2012 with an area of the Separate building located at Sambalpur, Odisha. This is a coeducational Institute specialises in nursing education and is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). Situated on a compact 1-acre campus, the school offers two full-time nursing programmes: GNM and ANM, which stand for General Nursing and midwifery and Auxiliary nursing and midwifery respectively. Koshal ANM and GNM Training School offer education to a limited number of students – 180 students in total – and faculty members are thirteen, providing quality and intensive preparation for the future nurse.

Koshal ANM and GNM Training School possesses several amenities expected to improve the learning environment of the students. An extensive library of the modern literature on nursing is also provided with necessary books so that students can gain more knowledge in the subject. Through a concept of Integrated classrooms and a state-of-the-art computer lab with 24/7 broadband and wi-fi the college laboratories allow a practice-intensive learning environment. For the purpose of clinical training, students have the advantage of the affiliation with the District Head Quarters Hospital Sambalpur and V.S.S. Institute of Medical Science & Research, Burla. It offers community health training at several of the Community Health Centres (CHCs) & Primary Health Centres PHCs across the region, such as at Jujomura CHC, Themra CHC, Dhama PHC and Maneswar CHC. It also transports its students to these off-campus training sessions held within the institute’s domain.

Koshal ANM and GNM Training School offers two primary nursing courses: the three-year General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) programme and the two-year Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) programme . They are both day programmes and have a formally prescribed student capacity of forty each or a total of eighty per year.
