Krishnath College, Berhampore, established in 1853, is one of the oldest institutions in Murshidabad, West Bengal. The affiliated college spans over 7.27 acres and is NAAC accredited. More than 170 years old, this college has grown into a premier institution of higher education, offering 27 courses in 6 different programmes. Its student body comprises 5,094 students with 94% at the undergraduate level, the rest being postgraduates.
The college remains committed towards providing a well-rounded education, thus different facilities have been made available for the students to foster their all-round growth and development. The largest centre of knowledge in the college is its central library, housing nearly 47,000 books, journals, and rare collections available for students, faculty, and staff. It is located on the first floor of the physics building and is the haven for people in dire need of information and academic resources. The institution houses smart classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, and appropriate IT infrastructure to help students learn effectively. There is also a gymnasium with sports facilities on campus to help the students become fit physiologically. The health centre in the college has adequate first-aid facilities to look after the health and safety concerns of the students.
Krishnath College offers a range of courses. It provides 27 courses for different interests and careers. There are undergraduate courses and postgraduate courses for the students of this institute. Undergraduate courses exist in numerous honours programmes in the arts and sciences: English, Bengali, History, Sanskrit, Philosophy, Political Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics, Zoology, Botany, Geography, and Physiology. Unique ones among them are B.A. in Tourism and Travel Management and B.Sc. Sericulture. The Postgraduate students are offered M.A. in Sanskrit,, Bengali, History, Philosophy, and Political Science, and M.Sc. in Physiology and Sericulture.

KN College provides the most picturesque and proper modern day infrastructure in Murshidabad district. To be a part of this college and infrastructure is a dream for students aiming for good and proper education in Murshidabad

The infrastructure of the oldest college in Murshidabad reflects a storied history intertwined with modern advancements. While it may not have the polished appearance typically associated with heritage institutions, it boasts a comprehensive array of laboratories and equipment, supported by dedicated lab assistants. The campus is a harmonious blend of verdant greenery, contemporary structures, and historical edifices, fostering a collaborative environment across departments. All the faculty members are good, helpfull and lab assistants also. There is easy access of libraries and all kinds of book for curriculum is available there. A well equipped gym and sports center is also there. Hostels are also available but not inside campus (wifi not provided)
