KRMMC was started in 1996 by Kumararani Meena Educational Trust in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and is known for its own repertoire of artistic and intellectual achievement. Located in a 3-acres campus, which is affiliated to a university, this institution provides 16 courses in seven degree programmes. The institution has attained accreditation from NAAC proving its seriousness in offering quality education to the learners. The college has got a total of 205 students and a faculty strength of sixty six educators thus relatively a sound student faculty ratio. The institution boasts a diverse student body, with 687 male and 299 female students, reflecting a 3:1 ratio.

For its students learning process KRMMC Chennai facilitates the following amenities. College owns a rich library, that enable the students to get acquainted with vast amount of necessary materials. The other common features are; for the sports enthusiasts there is a large attractive ground where sports activities like cricket, volley ball, football games, and track events among others are held. It also has well equipped IT facilities to support various modern learning facilities in the college. A canteen satisfies the food and beverage requirements of the learners and faculties, an assembly hall is used for functions and lectures. The college offers 16 programmes in total.
