Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda Polytechnic, Sullia has been catering the technical education needs for the people of Karnataka right from 1967. This affiliated college, recognised by All India Council for technical education abbreviated as AICTE presents many diploma courses in several specialisations in engineering. Located in a baronial 7 acres, the polytechnic has a total student enrolment of 739 and faculty of 32 members. KVG Polytechnic, the institution which is having its focus on technical education, has been carving out a better future for the budding engineers for the past fifty one years
Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda Polytechnic lays claim to offering an all-round learning experience to the student. The institute has well equipped campus having necessary accommodation facilities for academics and co-curricular activities. One unique from is that there is a rich library with an area of more than 1000 sq.Ft. and 200 students can sit here comfortably. It contains as many as 10250 books and over 1000 different titles technical and 10 non-technical journals and 20 technical and 10 non technical journals. The open access in book bank in the library has been observed meeting with both SC/ST students as well as the general students. for those who need to be accommodated, the institute provides for the hostel for boys and a hostel for the girl child. Every block of hostels is specifically run by caretakers and supply simple furniture along with other necessities inside the rooms. Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda Polytechnic, Sullia, is running six full-time Diploma programs in Engineering with a duration of 3 years each. The polytechnic is recognized by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and follows the admission guidelines promulgated by the Government of Karnataka for Diploma-level technical education.
An applicant for admission must have passed 10th standard or an equivalent examination from a board recognized by the government. The marks obtained are the basis of admission to a Technical Diploma in Government or Private.
Details of entrance tests, if any, will be published according to state directives. Usually, they will start by May or June, depending on the state results for the 10th standard, with the academic year beginning at around August-September.
Application Process
