Lalgudi Co-operative Polytechnic College was started in the year 2000, offered the Polytechnic Courses and Affiliated to the Tamil Nadu State Board of Technical Education. It is an AICTE approved institute offering diploma courses in engineering streams in Kerala. The college is located on a large piece of land of twenty point twenty acres to enhance technical learning environment. While having only 352 students in its enrolment, Lalgudi Co-operative Polytechnic College has a dedicated faculty to produce competent professionals in various fields of engineering. It has currently three full time diploma programmes to suffice the need of technical professional in this part of the country.

Lalgudi Co-operative Polytechnic College entails various facilities with an intention of improving on the learning experience of the students. An equipped library which complements the school is helpful when it comes to availing educational materials.
