Lingayas Institute of Management and Technology, Vijayawada was established in the year of 1988 by “The Lingayas University Society” in the memory of great freedom fighter Late Shree Gadde Lingaya. The main objective and mission of the LIMAT, Vijayawada is to facilitate and promote studies, research, and extension of the focus on professional education in the emerging areas of higher education in the disciplines of Management, Engineering Technology, Computer Applications, and various other programs.

Apart from Lingayas Institute of Management and Technology there are 6 other colleges of Lingayas Group of Institution which includes Lingaya’s Institute of Health Science, Faridabad, Lingaya’s University, Faridabad, Lingaya’s Public School, Faridabad, Lingaya’s Academy Saket/ Janakpuri, New Delhi, Lingayas Institute of Management & Tech, Vijayawada, and Lingayas Lalita Devi Institute of Management and Science, Mandi, New Delhi.  

The LIMAT Vijayawada admission is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam which includes AP EAMCET, AP ICET, AP PGECET, and candidates performance in the past academic qualification. The LIMAT has its own placement cell and it acts as a bridge between the students and companies. The LIMAT facilities provided to students on the campus are a hostel for Boys and Girls, a well-equipped library, Gym, IT Infrastructure, Medical/ Hospital facilities, etc.

The nearest airport to the LIMAT campus is Vijayawada Airport which is around 21 km and Vijayawada Junction is the nearest railway station to the campus and the distance is 20 km. From the railway station and airport bus and cab facility is available to reach the Lingayas Institute of Management and Technology campus conveniently.
