Lohia Charan Singh College, Darbhanga, came into existence in the year 1979. It was one of the pioneering educational institutes in Bihar, India. The college is situated near Ganj Chauk on the Donar-Sonaki Road and currently offers undergraduate-level courses in various streams. The huge campus with 5 acres has a huge student body of 4,602 enrolments, further supported by 69 dedicated faculty members in total. 

Lohia Charan Singh College, Darbhanga, Bihar, was established in 1979 and is affiliated with Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga. It has a decent number of facilities aimed at enhancing the learning and developing the overall personality of students. At the hub of all academic resources, there is a well-equipped library that allows students to become aware of rich knowledge in different fields of study. Being an affiliated college, it offers three major streams for degree programmes, viz., Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Bachelor of Commerce, to meet varied academic interests and career aspirations. The Bachelor of Arts provides a general orientation towards the Humanities and Social Sciences. The Bachelor of Science course shall cater to students who want to pursue scientific disciplines. Students who take an interest in pursuing Commerce/Business studies are offered the degree of Bachelor of Commerce.
