Luqman Unani Medical College Hospital and Research Centre is for the Unani system of medicine based at Bijapur, Karnataka, which was started in 1996. Luqman Unani Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, an affiliated College of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, provides 3 full-time courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The largest component of the students’ capacity is the Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) programme that is basically practiced in Muslim countries. Currently, at postgraduate level, the college offers specialised courses in Moalajat (internal medicine) and Niswan Wa Qabalat (obstetrics and gynaecology) at Neelum Valley University, AJ&K.

Most of the time, the management of Luqman Unani Medical College Hospital and Research Centre follows the merit system in admission. Regarding the admission in the BUMS programme the institute follows NEET and over all merit. The candidates seeking admission to MD Moalajat are required to sit for AIAPGET and have a merit list.
