Madhu College of Elementary Education was launched in the year 2005. It is one of the premier institutions in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The institute is an affiliated college sprawling over 5 acres in the beautiful J.V. Palem along Saitharupeta Road in Yellamanchili. This NCTE-approved institute specialises in elementary education with a D.El.Ed. programme . With an enrolment of 194 students and 15 faculty members, Madhu College ensures that future teachers study in a focused environment.

Madhu College of Elementary Education has a number of facilities which enhance the learning experience of its students. There are labs, based on the various departments of the institute, in which students are given practical knowledge with theoretical knowledge. Excellent IT infrastructure will allow the students to remain updated with the new technology related to education. The college library would serve as an in-campus knowledge hub that will be accessible at all times for the students to seek wide range of educational resources. Further, sports facilities are made available to all the students in order to ensure a balanced relationship between academic and sporting activities. Madhu College of Elementary Education offers only one full-time course at the undergraduate level, namely the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). The two-year course is intended to prepare the student for a career in elementary education and to graduate with competency sufficient to take up the responsibility as primary school teachers with confidence and skill.

Admission process of Madhu College of Elementary Education is merit-based. It follows the policies of the state government of Andhra Pradesh. The performance in the qualifying examination, normally higher secondary (10+2) or its equivalent, shall be the basis for assessing the eligibility of prospective students. In some cases, the entrance examination or other selection processes will be conducted based on the prevailing policies of the government.
