Mahamaya Rajkiya Mahavidhyalaya, Sherkot, Bijnor, was established in 2009 as the first government degree college in the district. It is located on Sherkot–Afzalgarh Road (NH-74), about one kilometer from Sherkot near Bhanauti bridge. The college is affiliated with Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, and plays an important role in providing higher education opportunities to students in the region.
