This private affiliated college was started in 2010, and is located at SV Mangalam Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu. Affiliated to All India Council for Technical Education AICTE, this establishment provides diploma courses in a host of engineering streams. The college is located in a small plot of 5.17 acres of land and its current student strength is 233 while it has 41 teachers already. The courses offered includes five diploma courses; all these are offered on full time basis and is aimed at preparing students for technical courses in engineering.

The college provides a variety of amenities to cater for the needs of the students within their academic and personal development. In this case, its IT facilities make certain the students have opportunities to learn with modern technologies. At Maharaja Polytechnic College it has five diploma courses and all these are day courses. The courses are Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Civil, Auto Mobile, Electronics and Communication. The number of approved intake is 300 which is for all courses together and this total approved intake show the capacity of this college to provide numerous numbers of engineers each year. Graduation data for the latest year is not available however, the seats available as of the current enrolment prove that the college is steadily helping students complete their programmes; currently, 233 students are enrolled in the college.

The admission procedures of Maharaja Polytechnic College are very simple and follow the merit rules. The Bangladesh qualifications mentioned above are offered for all the three-year full-time diploma courses for which there is admission strictly on merit basis in terms of marks obtained in the SSLC examination. The college also follows the rule stated by the Government of Tamil Nadu to provide some post for OC, BC, MBC, SC, ST and other relevant categories. It is also flexible to guarantee that the students undergoing admission have similar opportunities compared to other students.
