Introduction

Maharaja's Technological Institute, Thrissur is the oldest polytechnic institute in Kerala. The institute is affiliated to the State Board of Technical Education, Government of Kerala and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. MIT, Thrissur offers 5 diplom courses. The MIT Thrissur courses include Diploma in Civil Engineering (CE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Computer Engineering (CE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) and Electronics Engineering (EE). The MIT Thrissur admission is made through a single window admission system conducted by the Department of Technical Education, Government. The minimum eligibility criteria for MTI Thrissur, candidates should have passed in 10th with minimum required marks.

Candidates seeking admission at MTI Thrissur must complete the one time registration process in online mode.  After registration, students must fill and submit the MTI Thrissur application form in online mode on the admission portal. The MTI Thrissur application fee is Rs.200 for other candidates while for the SC/ST candidates, it shall be Rs.100. The institution offers many facilities to students. The MTI Thrissur facilities include spacious classrooms, hostel facilities, laboratory, computer centre facilities, well stocked library, cafeteria, indoor & outdoor sports, gymnasium, facilities for the disabled and many other facilities.

The institute has a separate training and placement cell. The MTI Thrissur placement cell handles campus placement for students centrally. The MTI training and placement provides career guidance to the students from the first year onwards. The MTI Placement cell provides complete support to visiting companies at every stage of the placement process.
