Maharana Pratap Institute of Technology and Management was established in the year 2010. This is a constituent college situated in Mahendergarh, Haryana. The campus is widespread on an area of 5 acres with the approval of AICTE, offering a wide variety of courses in the field of Engineering. This faculty has a strength of 1. MPITM offers education in a wide variety of disciplines through its 15 courses spread across 3 degree levels. The technical wing of the institution offers courses in B. Tech, M. Tech, and Diploma in Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering.

Maharana Pratap Institute of Technology and Management is affiliated with Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak. MPITM has a number of facilities to enhance the student experience. Separate boys' and girls' hostels are also provided with a commitment to a home-like atmosphere, equipped with modern amenities. These hostels are provided with recreation halls, common rooms, and mess facilities. The library of this college is well-stocked with over 10,000 books, journals at both the national and international levels, and magazines that remain open for 12 hours a day. In case of medical emergencies, a full-fledged dispensary is made available on the campus, attended by qualified doctors and nurses. MPITM provides various facilities that aid in the acquisition of knowledge. The transport facility with AC and non-AC buses is available for day scholars coming from nearby areas. It also has on-campus state-of-the-art laboratories for physics, chemistry, electronics, communication and electrical technology, and well-equipped mechanical workshops. The institute has 15 courses: 6 B.Tech programmes, 4 M.Tech programmes, and 5 Diploma courses. All programmes are full-time and orientated towards giving hands-on experience through well-equipped laboratories and workshops. For all its courses, the approved intake is 438. 

The admission process in MPITM differs from course to course. It is common in almost all engineering colleges that admissions are based on scores in national or state-level entrance examinations. However, the admission procedure for the Diploma programs is given in detail. The admissions are based on the rank in DET, with a merit list prepared from the inter-merit of DET scores. In case of equal marks, the criteria adopted are mathematics, science, English, and general awareness. The institute is also conducting institute-level admissions on the same basis.
