Maharshi Devraha Baba Autonomous State Medical College (MDBMC) was recently set up in 2021 and is considered a premier medical facility in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. As a state medical college, it is affiliated with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow. NMC recognises the college and it has only one course, the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. MDBMC is located on a large area of 28 acres and has a fully functional teaching hospital to assure student’s practical learning. This college has a strength of 45 members of faculty and is committed in providing excellent medical education to the persons interested in getting into healthcare sector. 

Another portfolio by MDBMC presents a quantity of amenities available for boosting the learning of students. It also has two separate hostels for boys and girls to provide the outstation students a comfortable accommodation facility. A good library is a workshop where all sorts of medical literature and other knowledge are stored and can be accessed by members. The college also provides sophisticated laboratories for departments that allow learners to be practical in their particular areas of specialisation. For those who prefer some physical exercise there is a sports hall on the campus and with this HNU ensures that its students follow a balanced lifestyle. 

The college provides only one course, which is the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). This is a complete programme which takes six years and is recognised as an undergraduate course delivered to students who have completed their 12th standard. At present, MDBMC warrants an approved intake of one hundred (100) students for the MBBS programme to enhance individualised student teaching ratios. 

NEET-UG scores determine the list of students to be admitted to the MBBS programme in MDBMC. Those who pass the NEET UG usually know when it is out which is usually in June, then go for counselling which may be state and all India. Admission to the college is purely on merit bases, this means only the best candidates are allowed to join the programme.
