MGPGI Pondicherry BDS Admission Process

The intake of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery course at MGPGI Pondicherry is approved for 110 students. Admission is through the candidate's NEET score. The course lasts for 5 years, and the candidate should have a 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.

MGPGI Pondicherry MDS Admission Process

The college has 7 specialisations in MDS, namely,

• MDS Prosthodontics is a 3-year postgraduate course having an approved admission of 3 students. Candidates are admitted through NEET MDS ranks. A BDS degree from a recognised college is necessary.
• MDS Oral Pathology and Microbiology is a 3-year course having an approved intake of 3 students. It admits candidates depending on their NEET MDS ranks. An application requires a BDS degree from a recognised university.
• MDS Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery course has also an admission capacity of 3 students. Entry is on the basis of NEET MDS, and students should be having a BDS degree.
• MDS Periodontics is yet another 3-year postgraduate course with admission capacity of 3 students. Admissions are on the basis of NEET MDS, and students need to have a BDS degree.
• MDS Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics takes in 3 students through NEET MDS performance. The applicants should have finished BDS degree.
• With an approved intake of 2 students, MDS Oral Medicine and Radiology takes in students through NEET MDS. A BDS degree is required for application.
• MDS Paedodontics is a 3-year postgraduate course that also relies on NEET MDS scores for admissions. The candidate should have a BDS degree.
