Mahila Mahavidyalaya Mayurbhanj pronounced in 1981 is the women college in Rairangpur of Odisha. This affiliated institute aims at offering sound education to the female students in the region. Located on 5 Acres of land the college is providing the courses of undergraduate programs in Art and humanities. The matter with Mahila Mahavidyalaya is that, in total, 468 students are admitted; the faculty includes 19 members, proving the effectiveness of individualized listening to the principles. At the moment, the college has only five courses out of which four are specialized honors programs with focus on the students with arts stream.

The college has various facilities that would really enrich the learning system of the students. The library as a major part of academic infrastructure has approximately 4079 books and offers reading facility of three newspapers daily – two Odia and one English. for enhancing the students’ intellectual development in line with a variety of academic fields as depicted in this rich collection. For the accommodation the college has provided hostels for three facilities that can accommodate 300 female students for out station students to ensure that they live in a safe environment as they attend their studies. College lovers can make use of the college with basketball court and playground so as to enhance on body exercises and togehter spirit. The institution also has department based laboratories whereby students practice what they are taught by the instructors in their fields of specialty. Also, the college has upgraded a superb IT sector, knowledge of which is critical in the current society.

At present, Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Mayurbhanj, provides a total of five full time under graduate programmes which come under the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Programme.
