    Malda Medical College and Hospital was established in the year 2011 and is one of the prime medical colleges in Malda. This co-educational college, affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, is making vigorous growth in medical education since its inception. The college has an affiliation from the National Medical Commission (NMC) and an array of undergraduate and postgraduate programs under several medical disciplines. With a faculty of 14-strong and a total student enrolment of 500, facilities at Malda Medical College and Hospital are geared towards the maximum professional development for the health care providers of the future. 

    Some of the facilities in the college include a fully equipped library for effective knowledge by helping students access various materials on literature and findings in the field of medicine. The campus provides the infrastructure for a well-equipped, modern laboratory to support experiment learning through practical training. Sports facilities exist on-campus to ensure students' physical fitness and to help instill balanced living. An auditorium is available for academic and cultural activities related to an overall vibrant experience on the campus. In order to stay connected to the age of information, there is a well-built IT infrastructure, including internet and computer centers around the campus.     Malda Medical College and Hospital has been an eminent medical institution, situated in Malda, West Bengal. Malda Medical College and Hospital provides undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in various medical disciplines with an objective of quality medical education and training trained healthcare professionals in the society. The highly competitive merit-based process of Malda Medical College and Hospital admission is for prospective candidates into its undergraduate programmes, with admissions done through NEET-UG, the nation-wide examination for aspiring medical students, and the NEET-PG scores for postgraduate admissions.

    Malda Medical College and Hospital normally commences its academic year in August-September. The NEET-UG exam is normally held by May, and results announced in June. For NEET-PG, the counseling process for the upcoming academic year takes place in between February 19, 2025, and February 27, 2025.
