The college was established in 2005. MRIET, Secunderabad is a private university affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. The college offers courses at undergraduate level only. MRIET, Secunderabad UG courses include B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, B.Tech Data Science, B.Tech Civil Engineering, B.Tech Information Technology, B.Tech Cyber Security, B.Tech Internet of Things and B.Tech Networks Engineering. 

All these courses are offered in full time mode only. For MRIET, Secunderabad UG admissions candidates must have passed class 12th with at least 50% marks from a recognised board also valid score in  JEE Main, TS EAMCET conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad.
