Malwa College of Physical Education is one of the reputed institutions exclusively specialising in physical education, situated in Bathinda, Punjab, Established in 2005. Situated on the other side of N.F.L. Township, on Goniana Road, this co-educational college covers this area of 5 acres. The Institute teaches three full time courses in physical education, B.P.Ed, B.P.ES, and D.P.Ed with total enrolment capacity of 329 students. Currently it has a total of 13 members in the faculty and therefore the college still has a small student by faculty ratio. Recognised by National Council for Teacher Education NCTE Malwa College of Physical Education is affiliated college dedicated to the task of producing future Physical Education teacher.

Malwa College of Physical Education has various facilities that can be used to support learning in an effort to produce good students. The essence of these facilities is a functional library that contains more than 6 thousand books, which are replenished every year with new shipments of new editions in physical education and related disciplines. The library also use different national and international journals and magazines that will enable students to study under a conducive environment. Infrastructure in the sporting sectors is very strong in the institution and the students have the opportunity to practice most of the time. The college also has state of the art computer facilities and laboratories for each of the fields of study and a health centre equipped with first aid facilities. These include halls, which are more developed and in this case the campus has an auditorium for extra curriculum activities and occasions. Students also need adequate facilities such as a gym and a cafeteria that will be serving the staff and students.

Malwa College of Physical Education, an affiliated College of Punjabi University, Patiala, focuses on its courses with three major courses of physical education. These are Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed), Bachelor of Physical Education and sports (B.P.ES) and Diploma in Physical Education and sports (D.P.ES). All these programmes are full time courses, with aim of affording training in various aspects of physical education and sports. B.P.Ed programme offered takes a year and intakes 50 students while the D.P.Ed programme takes two years and intakes 50 students.
