Affiliated college Mekalsuta College, Dindori was set up in 2006 in Shiksha Nagar, Subkhar, Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh. Situated on a small area of 2 acres, this institution has been gradually expanding the sphere of its activities as a seat of learning from the time of its establishment. It presently offers 17 distinct courses spread out over nine degree programmes to 1,774 students in the college. Mekalsuta College has a committed faculty of 16 members who dedicated their lives for educating the young generation and Our college strictly focus on maintaining the healthy student-to-teacher ratio so that the students will get individual attention to clarify their doubts.

The college boasts of well-endowed facilities which aid the learning process of students in the college. At the centre of these facilities is the 2000-square-foot library that has abundant natural and artificial lighting. As a knowledge resource centre of the faculty, it has more than 6,000 books and other materials such as journals, encyclopaedias and magazines. For the student who loves sports and some physical activities, college provides opportunities for the following sports activities: basketball, badminton, and cricket. Since the basketball court is situated in front of students’ accommodation, the court is often busy in the evening, and the cricket ground with the natural turf pitch stages intra- and interfaculty matches.

Mekalsuta College provides a combination of different academic programmes to meet the students’ career needs and preferences. The institution includes 18 full-time programmes offered in the streams of arts, commerce, science, education, and nursing. Some of its key courses are B.Sc., B.Ed., D.El.Ed., GNM, B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc., etc in subjects like Zoology and Botany, etc. 

Mekalsuta College has felt the need for a clear-cut mechanism of admitting the students and has implemented the policy of merit-based admissions. The SCST Committee Regulation formulates the criteria for admission of students in various courses, such as D.Ed.,, B.Ed., etc.
