It was a great experience. there are guest faculties from the corporate hat are invited to the college to interact with the students. the summer internship helps you to apply your theoretical knowledge in the practical world of the industry. you get a chance to be a part of the management event organised completely by the students of the BBA department. it was a great experience being in this college.

I was a student of BBA section in MES College of Arts & Commerce, Zuarinagar, Goa. The college offered a wide range of courses like BCA, BBA, BCom, BA & much more have been introduced lately. The college is located in Zuarinagar, which is approx. 3kms from Vasco-da-Gama and approx. 12 km away from the Verna Industrial Estate. It has a wide & beautiful campus with good greenery & a panoramic view. There is a big gymkhana, canteen, library & a basketball court in the campus. MES was one of the best colleges in Goa offering BBA course then (2003) and one had to answer UGAT entrance exam and to get through the course. MES maintained a figure of only 40 students in a batch, which made it difficult for one to get through easily. BBA staff was a mixture of in-house and visiting faculties from various walks of life. The curriculum was well planned with live cases from the industries around, different case studies, role plays, etc. Faculties always ensured that there was a 2-way interaction (between the students & faculties). Very often, other than the regular teaching staff, the college used to invite various industrialists to share their experience / knowledge and to guide us in our careers. The BBA section had always strived to maintain a good relationship with all the companies in the Verna Industrial Estate. Every year the students had to spend 2 months in companies to do their summer internship which enabled them to understand and implement their bookish knowledge. BBA Section was known to win many laurels for the college as the students were always motivated to participate in various inter-collegiate events in & outside Goa. All I can say is in my entire career, my experience in the BBA Section at MES College has been the most cherishable one. We learnt the basic steps of the corporate life i.e right from how to behave, groom, telephone & email etiquettes, table etiquettes; how to maintain relationships with colleagues & subordinates, work in teams, how to handle stress, work load and challenges calmly (we had regular yoga & meditation sessions), and much more.. And most important of all, they also taught us to have FUN..!! Suggestions: • Library: Unfortunately the library lacks to offer the range of reference books. The management needs to ensure the same is being updated frequently. • Canteen: Better food / variety can be offered • Sports: The College unfortunately doesn’t have a proper ground where in students to conduct / play different kinds of sports. It only has a basket ball court which too needs maintenance. Also the college needs to refurbish all the sports equipments. • Overall Infrastructure: College needs to maintain the washrooms well. They need to also ensure that the girls room is well equipped and clean.

Out of the various courses offered like B.com, BCA, BA, B.com in Shipping Management etc., MES is well known for its excellence in BBA course. Understanding the need of the industry, the Bachelor of Business Administration program affiliated to Goa University was started in 2000 by Morgan Education Society. I am proud to be a part of MES because the college has not just given me a degree but developed me on an intellectual and moral front as well. Faculties across various industries have given me an insight into the corporate and provided lessons for life. BBA is one such course that teaches you to work in a team while accepting and respecting others views, working out presentations in the most creative way, gives you an opportunity to lead and I am glad and truly honored to be a part of MES. One aspect on which the college needs to develop is on providing placement. As of now, the college doesn't assist in provision of placement. Overall it is a good place to study, enjoy and explore.
